Lenora Talley, 93, of Decatur, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013. She was known and loved by many as “Mama Talley” or “Red.” She was born on Jan. 8, 1920, and married the love of her life, the Rev. Lonnie W. Talley. She enjoyed 49 years as a pastor’s wife and community leader, and a lifetime as a dedicated Christian.

Talley was a member of 16th Avenue Baptist Church since moving to Decatur in 1987.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Commie and Delvie Perry; her sisters, Odell Guy, May Rose Fulmer and Lucille Mize; brother, Hal Perry; and her beloved husband, Lonnie.

She is survived by her three sons, Wayne Talley, Nelson Talley and his wife, Mary, and Rick Talley and his wife, Linda. She had many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as numerous family members and friends. She was dearly loved by all who knew her.

A graveside service will be conducted by Pastor Joey Tucker on Monday, Oct. 28, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Forrest Grove Cemetery located on 5th Avenue in Pleasant Grove.
