The family will receive friends today, Feb. 1, 2013, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at 11:30 a.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel, with burial at Walker Memory Gardens. Jamie Stanger will officiate.
Higgins was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald B. Higgins; father, Lacy Humphries; mother, Christine Rector; sisters, Betty Sue Scott and Patricia Cook; and granddaughter, Kaylon Alvis.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Alvis (Marty) of Jasper; son, Russell Woder (Lisa) of Jasper; sisters, Loretta Duncan and Tina Pendley (David) of Jasper; grandchildren, Kayse Alvis of Oxford,Miss., Zac Woder of Jasper and Jacob Woder of Jasper; and a host of nieces and nephews.
