The Alabama GOP names a Rising Star each week. Landrum received the distinction for the week of Sept. 17.
Landrum is an attorney who was born and raised in Walker County. Landrum’s run at probate judge is his first campaign for public office. He said receiving the recognition from the state party is an honor.
“I am honored to be recognized for my hard work and the huge efforts I am making in Walker County to help the GOP take over the probate court,” Landrum said.
The county’s probate judge has been a Democrat for generations, but Landrum said he is excited about the possibility of changing that.
“I am grateful for all the support I have had from the community, especially the Walker County Republican Party and its president, Linda Ensor,” Landrum said.
The General Election is set for Nov. 6. Landrum is the GOP candidate for Walker County Probate Judge. His opposition is incumbent Rick Allison, a Democrat.
