She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Sudie Ferguson; her husband, Otis Luster Cooper; three brothers, Ernest Ferguson Jr., William Blanton Ferguson, and John Ferguson; and one sister, Willowdean Chism.
Marguerite was a devoted preacher’s wife and loved to sing. She retired from Southern Bell after 25 years of service.
She is survived by a daughter, Janice Montgomery and her husband, Stan, of Hendersonville; a brother, Smitty Ferguson of Jasper; two grandchildren, Tony Pangle and Connie Cahoon; one great-grandson, Zachary Pangle; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved puppies, Ginger and Auburn.
A funeral has been held.
