Marjorie P. Galaske, 84, of Galien, passed away at 6 a.m. on Saturday June 2, 2012 at West Woods of Niles. She was born on April 15, 1928 in South Bend, Ind. to Charles and Treva (Steffen) Wolfe. On Dec. 23, 1950 in Galien, Mich., she married Arthur C. Galaske. He died on Feb. 25, 2002 in Jasper.

She is survived by her three daughters, Ann (Terry) Lane of Niles, Mich., Brenda Galaske of Buchanan, Mich. and Barbara Root of Galien, Mich.; five sons, Artie Galaske of Niles, Mich., Chuck (Pat) Galaske of Galien, Mich., Robert (Karen) Galaske of Buchanan, Mich., William Galaske of Buchanan, Mich. and Darold (Candice) Galaske of Beaver Dam, Kent; also surviving are 25 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Marjorie was a homemaker who enjoyed reading, fishing and playing Bingo. She loved Christmas.

There will be no visitation or services and cremation will take place. Burial will be at a later date in Oak Hill Cemetery in Jasper. Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Diabetes Association.
