Marvin Wise, 87, of Dora, died on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, at Ridgeview Health Care Center. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, at Bell Sumiton Chapel with burial in Morgan Cemetery. The Rev. Shelby Puckett will officiate. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.

Preceding him in death was his son, Richard Marvin Wise.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Pickelsimer Wise of Dora; children, Marsha Wise Cosper and her husband, Jerry Don, of Dora, Sandra Wise Yates of Dora, and Michael G. Wise of Dora; grandchildren, Don Hutchens, Misty Wise, Chris Wise, Ricky Wise, Brandy Yates, and Robin Yates; great-grandchildren, Christian Wood, Kady Wood, Nora Katherine Wise and Luke Thomas Wise; several brothers and sisters; and a host of other relatives and friends.
