She was town clerk at Kansas for many years. She loved to fish and garden. She loved all her family and her many, many friends.
Visitation will be from 1 until 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, in the parlor at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home in Jasper. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, in the Kilgore-Green Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pocahontas Cemetery in Carbon Hill. Morris Helton will officiate. Kilgore-Green Funeral Home will direct.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Parrish; and parents, Jeff and Bertie Mae Hodgson.
She is survived by her daughter, Gail Warren of Carbon Hill; son, Jimmy Watts (Lynn) of Bremen; grandchildren, Steve Warren (Kim) of Fultondale, Jim Watts of Virginia, Chris Starnes of Bremen, and Sara Starnes of Bremen; great-grandchildren, Bailey Warren, Brody Warren, Isaac Starnes, and Sally Starnes; sisters, Martha Huett of Sumiton and Linda Pair of Carbon Hill; brothers, Jeffery Hodgson (Thelma) of Adamsville, Bill Hodgson (Becky) of Carbon Hill, George Hodgson (Susan) of Tuscaloosa, James Hodgson (Elaine) of Headland.
