She was preceded in death by her parents, Emerson and Ida McCarty.
She is survived by her husband, Rick Brown; children, Ronnie and Mary Herron, Jessie and Pattie Herron, Christy Humanus and Kristen Brooks, Jeff Herron (Steven Chadderdon) and Patty Knight; brother, John McCarty; sisters, Lynn Skinner and Mary (Peanut) Taylor; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
