Maurine Williams, 83, of Empire, passed away Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, at Princeton Baptist Medical Center.

She was a member of Arkadelphia Baptist Church and was the longtime owner and operator of Maurine’s Restaurant in Sumiton.

Visitation will be today, Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014, from 6 until 7 p.m. at New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be today at 7 p.m. in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. There will be no graveside committal service.

Williams was preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy, Joyce and Judy; and her brother, Johnny.

Survivors include her children, Rene’ Williams (Linda) of Bagley, Randy Williams (Liz) of Dora, Voncell Aaron (Doug) of Pineywoods and Robby Williams (Carolyn) of Bagley; grandchildren, Brent Williams, Kelly Butler, Tyra Harris, Chris and Craig Aaron, and Kristian and Kortney Williams; six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; brothers and sisters, Faye Baker, Nettie Mae Stanley, Barbara Reeves, Jo Eddy, Freeman Butler, Jr., Owen Butler, Ricky Butler and Rodney Butler; and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
