Mavis Glover Robbins Haynes Collins, formerly of Brushy Pond, died on Sunday, May 19, 2013, at Rose Lane Nursing & Rehabilitation in Massillon, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Hanceville Funeral Home, 100 Michelle Rd NW, Hanceville, Ala. Bro. Larry Duke officiating. Entombment will follow at Cullman Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, May 23, 2013, beginning at 11 a.m.

Mavis was born near Pete's Crossroads in Dora in Jefferson County on Dec. 16, 1914, at the home of her parents, John Thomas and Delonia Justimar Mae Drummond Glover. She attended Bagley Elementary School and Corner High School. Mavis lived in Nauvoo from 1932 until early 1950 when she moved to Akron, Ohio. She returned to Alabama in 1980, built a home on Smith Lake with her husband, Wilbur Collins where she resided until January of this year.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Paul Brown Robbins; James Rufus Haynes and Wilbur Lee "Floyd" Collins; and son, Charles E. Haynes; grandson, Michael N. Dull; and step-great-grandson, Cody Milton Vance; five sisters and three brothers.

She is survived by her children, Doris Robbins Crauswell of Hayden, Glenn Haynes of Houston, Texas and Carolyn Haynes (John) Kyle of Massillon, Ohio; step-son, Carl E. Collins of Akron, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Arnold (Marie) of Nauvoo and Billie (Helen) Glover of Jasper.
