Mildred Smith Tatum, age 89 of Jasper, passed away Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, at her residence.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012, from 1 until 2 p.m. in the parlor of Kilgore-Green Funeral Home in Jasper. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Kilgore-Green Chapel. Burial in the Walker Memory Gardens in Jasper. Dr. Fred Lackey officiating.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Berry Benard Tatum; one infant son; father, Richard Henry Smith; mother, Dixie Shurett Smith; sisters, Fay Parker and Reba Kilgo; and brother, Harold Smith.

She is survived by three daughters, Benette Waldrep and her husband, David of Mt. Olive, Martha Hull and her husband, Dick of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Linda Tatum Wright of Jasper; four grandchildren, Chris Waldrep and his wife, Kelli of Woodstock, Scott Waldrep and his wife, Brandi of Helena, Ned Hull of Enterprise, and Kellie Murray and her husband, Brandon of Jasper; four great-grandchildren, Seth Waldrep, Matthew Waldrep, Abigail Waldrep, and Henry Waldrep; and a host of other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Dave Waldrep, Dick Hull, Ned Hull, Chris Waldrep, Scott Waldrep, and Brandon Murray.

Thanks to the best caregivers in the world that were so faithful to help take care of Mother; Johnnie South, Nelda Campbell, and Linda Miller; and also to all the nurses and others that helped from Alacare.
