Current Miss Walker County Emily Winkler will be on hand to crown the new winner. Miss Walker County 2010 Hayley Jones will emcee the pageant.
The following contestants will be part of Saturday night’s competition:
Emily Woods
Woods, a native of Jasper, is a junior at the University of North Alabama pursuing a bachelor’s in Human Environmental Sciences with a focus on culinary arts.
Her platform is breast cancer awareness and education. Her talent is a lyrical dance to “Try” by Asher Book.
Allison Farris
Farris is a graduate of Walker High School. She is now a sophomore at the University of Alabama pursuing a bachelor’s in commerce and business administration. Her platform is LiveLovely: Hope for a Cure, Strength for a Lifetime. Her talent is the classical piano piece “Hungarian Rhapsody No. 6.”
Jessica Cook
Cook, a resident of Townley, is soon to be a freshman at Bevill State Community College and will be pursuing a nursing degree.
Her platform is “Giving Women Hope.” Her talent will be a performance of “Walk Away,” a song that she wrote.
Sarai Ingle
Ingle is a graduate of Lynn High School and is currently a sophomore at Bevill State Community College. She is pursuing a degree in biology. Her platform is “Children Today, Leaders Tomorrow.” Her talent is a vocal performance of “How Great Thou Art.”
