Nancy Sue Lockhart, 75, of Jasper, was born Sept. 12, 1937, in Walker County and passed away peacefully from this life Friday, March 8, 2013, at home. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Vance Hutton and Neil Myers will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 11, at the funeral home.

She was a faithful member of West Walker Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carlos Melcher and Vera Bell Herzig Melcher Fike; in-laws, Annie Laura Groom Lockhart and Elmer Aaron Lockhart; daughter-in-law, Paula Robinson Lockhart; beloved son, Paul Allen Lockhart; step-sister, Venita Fike Phillips; step-brothers, Burnett, Herman and Edward Fike; sister-in-law, Charlotte Lockhart Cardre and brother-in-law, Roger Dale Lockhart.

She is survived by her loving husband, Glenn Allen Lockhart of Jasper; grandson, Paul Allen Lockhart Jr. of Jasper; step-sisters, Phyllis Fike Scogin of Oneonta, Mary Lynn Fike Sides of Jasper and Patricia Fike Garnett of Coral Springs, Fla.; aunts, Lois Hicks of Jasper, Martha Dobbs of Athens and Rachel Herzig of Northport; and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
