Nora Mae was a lifelong member of Old Enon Missionary Baptist Church. She loved to cook. Just ask anyone about her “Peppery Hot” chicken dressing and fried apple pies. They were a tradition around Thanksgiving at Grandma’s. Another great family tradition was Christmas Eve at Grandma and Grandpa’s. Santa always stopped by and the house was filled with laughter and the Christmas spirit. This was the place where you would find their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. It was always a joyous occasion filled with great memories.

We are rejoicing today, and with saddened hearts to let go of our precious mother, but our memories of her will live on forever in our hearts.

Nora Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Martin; son, Amos Earl Martin; daughter, Frances Ann Martin; grandchildren, Russell Phillip McKeever and Donna LaDean Cooper; parents, Joseph Columbus Martin and Martha Frances; brothers, Arthur Francis Martin and L.C. Martin; and sisters, Dena Pamila Berry, Perlean Gossett and Martha Vodine Hart.

She is survived by her sons, Jerry Wayne Martin (Jackie) and David Lloyd Martin (Dana); daughters, Irene Duncan, Shirley Mae Frink, and Carolyn Louvene McKeever; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Franklin D. Martin; and sister, Feneda Elizabeth Smith.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Michael Brassfield, Wiregrass/Gentiva Hospice and our extended family, special caregiver David Wilson for the care of our mom throughout the years, and the Boldo Volunteer Fire Department.
