Ozie Etta Mills Owens, 88, of Carrollton, died Tuesay, Aug. 10, 2010, at Sansing Country Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 13, at Dogwood Chapel in Aliceville with burial to follow in Magnolia Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Mike Griffin will officiate. Visitation will be immediately following the service at Dogwood Chapel.

She was born Dec. 4, 1921, in Sulligent, Ala.,to the late Emmit Mills and Connie Ellen Berryhill Mills. She was a member of West End Baptist Church in Aliceville, a retired employee of Huyck Felt Company and a well-known resident of Pickens County.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Dalton “Hoss” Owens; parents; great-grandson, Christopher Dalton Owens; sisters, Mavis Boda, Boots Henderson, and Ann Kimbrell; brothers, Zelmer Mills and Arlie Mills; and son-in-law, Ronnie Driver.

She is survived by daughters, Sherry Driver and Sandra Fason (Ernest); sons, Terry Owens (Onzelle) and Randy Owens (Sherry); sisters, Pat Sargent, Mattie Florence Swafford, and Kay Knight (Ronnie); brothers, Joe Mills (Bobbie), Emmit Mills (Jo Helen), and Billy Mills (Gertrude); brother-in-law, Arnold Kimbrell; six grandchildren, Dewey Owens, Adam Owens (Allison), Bill Fason (Lesli), Josh Owens, Misty Ezelle (Dusty), and Dow Holman; and four great-grandchildren, Kevin Owens, Reese Owens, Luke Owens, and Zeke Owens.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
