Visitation will be Sunday, April 22, 2012, from 2 to 3 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home Parlor. Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 24, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo. Mike Chandler will officiate.
He is survived by his wife, Becky Johnson Mickis, of Jasper; father, Paul W. Mickis, of Beckly, W.Va.; daughter, Alaina Mickis; son, Logan Mickis; and brothers, Larry Mickis and Michael Mickis.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
