To kickoff the 2012 Salvation Army Christmas Campaign, members of The Salvation Army of Walker County board of directors placed their donations in one of the famous red kettles. This year’s goal is to raise $75,000 to help sustain vital programs and services at the local Salvation Army Service Center. Volunteers are also needed to ring bells and man the Red Kettles that will be placed outside local business beginning the Friday after Thanksgiving. To volunteer, call 205-388-4517, 205-706-1944 or 205-221-7737. – Photo by: Elane Jones.
