Robert “Bob” Hoagland, 84, of Dora, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012, at Baptist Princeton Hospital in Birmingham.

Mr. Hoagland was the founder of Sayre Raceway and retired owner of Bama Utility Buildings.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at 11 a.m. in the New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with burial in New Horizon Memorial Gardens. Rev. Doug Tate officiating. Family to receive friends Tuesday from 6 until 8 p.m.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Bessie Hoagland; son, Robert Hoagland Jr.; brothers, Lavaughn Hoagland and Dennis Hoagland; and sister, Peggy Godfrey.

Survivors include his wife, Adell Hoagland; one daughter, Brenda Russell and husband, Donnie; daughter-in-law, Christal Hoagland; four grandchildren, Everett Hoagland and Drake Hoagland, Tonya Gardner, and Miranda Thompson; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Retha Greathouse; one brother, Terry Hoagland; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
