Rufus Allen Hutto, 93, of Oakman, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013. He was born on Aug. 25, 1919. He attended the University of Alabama where he received his bachelor's degree of science in education, and Samford University where he received his master's degree.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home in Jasper.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at 1 p.m. in Collins-Burke Chapel with burial at Day Cemetery. Bobby Boshell will officiate. Collins-Burke Funeral Home will direct.

Hutto was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Sue Hutto; father, Carl Hutto; mother, Grace Hutto; and son, William Reese Maddox.

He is survived by his daughters, Charlie Aycock of Birmingham and Mary Jones of Oakman; son, Alvin Maddox of Springville; brother, John Frances Hutto (Pat) of Santa Rosa, Calif.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
