He was born in Philadelphia, Pa. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1952 to 1955. He was employed by G.C. Murphy Co. for 32 years. He moved to Walker County in 1968.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Dove and Virginia Dove; daughter, Cassie Leigh Dove; sister, Nova Dove; and brother, Kay Don Dove.
He is survived by his wife, Kaye Banks Dove; son, Scott Myers (Anne-Marie); grandchildren, Sara-Grace Myers and Michael Scott Myers; sister, Sevilla Melnick; and brother, Travis Dove.
