A local Bonnie and Clyde robbed a Jasper convenience store late Friday night at gunpoint.

According to a Jasper Police Department report, a couple entered the Quik Sack, located at the intersection of U.S. 78 and the Cordova Cutoff Road around 11:15 p.m. Friday. The duo robbed the store’s clerk at gunpoint and fled in a small four-door car with an undetermined amount of cash.

The police report described the couple as a white male and white female.

The male is approximately 5-foot-11, between 170 to 180 pounds. He was wearing a black shirt with graffiti on front and back and blue jean shorts. The report described him as being in his 30s or 40s, mostly bald with a little hair.

The female is approximately 5-foot-4, with a slim build, around 110 pounds. She has red, spiked hair and was wearing a T-shirt, jeans and flip flops.

A surveillance video from the convenience store filmed the couple as they entered the business.

Jasper Police Chief Connie Cooner Rowe said the incident is under investigation and police would appreciate any information the public could offer about the armed robbery.

“We expect someone will recognize these two suspects from the still photograph taken from the surveillance video,” Rowe said.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Jasper Police Department at 205-221-2121.
