SUMITON — The East Walker Chamber of Commerce will hold its 36th annual banquet on April 23 at Lee’s Resturant in Sumiton. The guest speaker this year will be John Archibald of the Birmingham News.

The event will begin at 7 p.m. and tickets are $22.50 each or $115 for a table for 6. This price includes a buffet-style dinner at Lee’s and entertainment by Ken Glover and the rest of the Kool Katz Jazz Band. There will also be door prizes given away that night.

“We would love for everybody to come support the Chamber,” executive director of the East Walker Chamber of Commerce, Chee-Vee Whitfield said.

Tickets are still available from the Chamber by Whitfield at 205-255-0202. Businesses can also contact Whitfield at that number to donate door prizes for giveaway at the banquet.
