Both Dora and Oakman remained undefeated in tournament play with Cordova one game back.
All three of Wednesday's game were rescheduled after being rained out on Monday.
Today's scheduled game between Dora and Oakman could go a long way in deciding this year's champion.
Dora 10, Parrish 0, 5 innings
Dora improved to 3-0 in the Walker County Baseball Tournament, beating Parrish 10-0 in five innings on the road Wednesday.
Dora pitcher John Pate tossed a one-hitter, allowing three walks and striking out seven in five innings. Dora scored in every inning.
The Bulldogs (7-5) were up 2-0 after two innings before scoring seven runs over the third and fourth innings to put the game away.
At the plate, Dakota Weldon was 2 for 3 with a pair of doubles while Noah Hester was 2 for 3 with two RBIs. The Bulldogs stole seven bases in the win.
Next up for Dora is a road game at Oakman set for 4 p.m. today.
Cordova 15, Carbon Hill 0
Cordova’s Clark Chance was on fire at the mound for Cordova on Wednesday, pitching a no-hitter with five strikeouts and a walk in five innings of action in the Blue Devils’ 15-0 home victory over the Carbon Hill Bulldogs.
At the plate, the Blue Devils were equally impressive.
Cam Honeycutt had three hits, three RBIs and a double, while Garrett Woods went 2 for 4 with two doubles and two RBIs. Logan Shumate added two hits and two RBIs, Jeffre Wingo was 2 for 4 with an RBI and Jackson Kiser went 2 for 2 with an RBI.
Chad Russell went 2 for 3 with two RBIs and Hunter Gilmore had a double and an RBI for the contest.
Cordova (6-3) travels to Parrish today in Walker County Tournament action.
Oakman 4, Curry 3
Oakman’s Dylan Wilcutt drove in the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning to help the Wildcats (9-2) defeat the Curry Yellow Jackets, 4-3, as part of the Walker County Baseball Tournament.
Wilcutt’s clutch play topped a 2 for 4 performance, which included two RBIs. Cason Madden added two RBIs, going 1 for 3 at the plate, while Braden Hall went 2 for 4.
Case Key got the win to extend his season record to 2-1, giving up five hits, a walk and six strikeouts in seven innings pitched.
Oakman hosts the Dora Bulldogs today.
