Megan Englebrake of Lawrence, Kansas, and Brian Zorbini of Jasper were united in marriage on Feb. 27, 2012, at the Secret Silversands Resorts in Riviera Maya, Mexico.
The bride is the daughter of Mike and Judy Englebrake of Baldwin City, Kansas.
The groom is the son of David and Debbie Zorbini of Jasper. He is the grandson of Alice Pontia and the late Marshall Pontia of Yorkville, Ohio, and Evelina Zorbini and the late Celestino Zorbini of Yorkville, Ohio.
Matron of honor was the bride’s sister, Molly LaFaver, and the best man was Sean LaFavor, brother-in-law of the bride.
The bride is a graduate of Lawrence High School, Lawrence, Kansas and Kansas University. She is a human resource gerneralist for JE Dunn.
The groom is a graduate of Walker High School and received his mechanical engineering degree from Auburn University. He is a project engineer for U.S. Engineering.
After a honeymoon to Tahiti and Bora Bora, the couple resides in Prarie Village, Kansas.
Gil and Myra Myrick of Dora are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashleigh Myrick, to Cody Lockhart, the son of Gary and Brenda Lockhart of Jasper.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Peggy Barnett of Sumiton, Bobby and Billie Kelley of Pell City, and James and Ann Myrick of Dora. She is a graduate of Dora High School. She earned a BS in elementary/early childhood education at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in school counseling. She is employed with the Walker County Board of Education as a second-grade teacher at Sumiton Elementary Middle School.
The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Genny Bonner, the late Herschel Lockhart and the late Nick and Vivian Eddy, all of Jasper. He is a graduate of Walker High School. He earned a BS in science with concentration in cytotechnology from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. He is employed as a cytotechnologist with LabFirst at Trinity Medical Center.
The wedding will take place at 6 p.m. on June 9, 2012, with a reception to follow at the home of the bride’s parents.

Jan and Steve Kimbrell of Boldo are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Anna Kathryn Kimbrell, to Johnathan Shea Day, the son of Terry and Carla Quillen of Curry.
The bride-elect is granddaughter of Lola Kimbrell, the late Howard Kimbrell, Billie Ruth Vinson and the late J.C Vinson.
She is a 2006 graduate of Walker High School and a 2010 graduate of UAB with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She is currently employed with UAB Hospital.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Leopold, the late Carl Hoobler, and Mrs. Evelyn Banks and the late Mr. Ray Banks.
He is a 2003 graduate of Oakman High School. He is attending Athens State University pursuing a bachelor’s degree in secondary education. He is currently employed with Regional Paramedics of Jasper.
The wedding will take place on Saturday, May 12, 2012, at Aldridge Botanical Gardens in Hoover.
