Gilbert - Handley

Savannah Gilbert and Blayke Handley, together with their families, announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of William and Donna Gilbert. She is the granddaughter of Bobby Holsombeck and the late Elizabeth Holsombeck. She is also the granddaughter of Annie Louis Burnett and the late Billy Gilbert.

The groom-to-be is the son of Loretta Williams and Marty Handley. He is the grandson of Joan Williams and the late Archie Williams. He is also the grandson of Ronnie and Betty Joe Handley.

The couple will exchange vows on July 14, 2012 at Pisgah Baptist Church in Sipsey.

Engagements

Myrick-Lockhart

Ashleigh Myrick and Cody Lockhart were united in marriage on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 6 p.m. in a double ring outdoor ceremony at the home of the bride's parents. Bishop Philip Walker of Sevierville, TN, formerly of Dora, AI officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Gil and Myra Myrick of Dora. She is the granddaughter of Peggy Barnett of Sumiton, Bobby and Billie Kelley of Pell City and James and Ann Myrick of Dora.

The groom is the son of Gary and Brenda Lockhart of Jasper. He is the grandson of the late Genny Bonner, the late Hershel Lockhart and the late Nick and Vivian Eddy all of Jasper.

The bride was presented for marriage by her father. Her Allure ivory lace strapless gown had Swarovski crystals defining the empire waistline. The Ivory veil trimmed with Swarovski crystals was borrowed from cousin of the bride Morgan Holland Eddy and was also worn by the matron of honor, Jerica Stewart Lease, cousin of the groom, at her wedding. The bridal bouquet was tied with antique lace from the bride's mothers wedding veil. The garter was hand crocheted by the bride's great-great aunt, the late Lucy Hall, and presented to the bride on her 13th birthday. Her wedding pearls were a gift from her father and her ivory duchesse silk shoes covered with Swarovski crystals were a gift from her new mother-in-law.

Matron of honor was Jerica Stewart Lease, cousin of the groom, of Dora. Bridesmaids were Mallory Moseley, cousin of the bride, of Homewood, Morgan Holland Eddy, cousin of the bride, Lindsay Handley and Catherine Taylor Willingham all of Jasper.

Best man was Gary Lockhart, father of the groom, of Jasper. Groomsmen were Bryan Myrick, brother of the bride, and Alex Lease both of Dora, Matt Eddy, cousin of the bride, and Griff Waid both of Jasper.

Paisley Eddy, goddaughter of the bride served as flower girl and Harlis Eddy, cousin of the groom served as ring bearer.

Ushers were Jacob Nesbitt and Blaine Neill both cousins of the bride. The guests were registered by Sarah Neill and Katy Neill, cousins of the bride.

A poolside reception was held following the ceremony, also at the home of the bride's parents. After rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom's parents under the tent on Friday night. Following a honeymoon trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica, the couple is at home in Dora.

Vines - Stevens

Mr. Don Vines and Mrs. Darlene Swindleare pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Brittany Michelle Vines to Tommy E.  Stevens Jr., the son of Tommy Stevens Jr. and Betsy Miller of Anniston.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of David and Karen Gillium of Jasper, and Paul and the late Carolyn Vines of Carbon Hill.

She is a graduate of Walker High School and earned a bachelors degree in social work from Jacksonville State University.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Jim and Jonnie Livingston of Anniston, and Francis Horne of Anniston.

He is a graduate of Alexandria High School and earned a bachelors degree in computer information systems from Jacksonville State University. He is currently employed with Progress Rail.

The wedding will take place on July 28, 2012, in Anniston.
