Wilson Marion Fincher, 88, of Arley, passed away on Monday, June 18, 2012, at the VA Nursing Home in Huntsville. He was a vetereran of World War II, awarded a Purple Heart, Oak Leaf Cluster. He was a deacon for more than 50 years at Meek Baptist Church and a lifelong member. He was a retired mail carrier in Arley.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at Meek Baptist Cemetery in Arley. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today, June 19.

He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Fincher; mother, Rosa Davidson Fincher; wife, Hazel Wilson Fincher; eight brothers; and two sisters.

He is survived by his daughter, Carol Fincher Alston of Birmingham; son-in-law, Don Alston of Birmingham; son, Kerry Fincher of Arley; daughter-in-law, Beverly Fincher of Arley; grandson, Brian Fincher; granddaughter-in-law, Sherry Fincher; grandson, Brad Alston; granddaughter-in-law, Mary Beth Alston; and great-grandchildren, Emma Fincher, Bailee Fincher and Addi Alston.
