Agnes Black Henslee, 89, of Jasper, passed away Sunday, Dec. 3, 2017, at her residence. She was born April 12, 1928. She was a graduate of Walker High School, Livingston State Teacher’s College (University of West Alabama) and the University of Alabama. Mrs. Henslee was a teacher in the Walker County School System for many years and retired at Parrish Elementary as Assistant Principal. She was a long time member of Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority.
The family received friends Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017, from 6 until 8 p.m., at Kilgore Green Funeral Home.
Funeral services were Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2017, at 11 a.m. in the Kilgore-Green Chapel. Chaplain Leonard Rigsby officiated the service. Burial was at Walker Memory Gardens.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne C Henslee; parents, Love and Cora Black; and brothers, Clyde Black and Norbert Black.
She is survived by her children, Donna Miller (John) of Jasper, Paul Henslee (Kathy) of Nanafalia, Ala., and Marianne Key (Barry) of Jasper; grandchildren, Hannah Henslee of Tuscaloosa, Nathan Key of Jasper, Tyler Henslee (Madison) of Cuba, Ala.; sisters-in-law, Barbara Black and Dolores Henslee, both of Jasper; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be Nathan Key, Tyler Henslee, Ken Henslee, Greg Henslee, Joey Henslee and Dave Henslee.
