CH police chief suspended for 3 days

Carbon Hill Police Chief Paul Agnew has been suspended for three days following an incident that occurred at the city’s recent Hillfest celebration.

Mayor Mark Chambers confirmed the suspension Monday.

“He backed into a car and failed to leave any information. He said there was no damage, but he should have left something,” Chambers said.

Chambers also confirmed that Agnew was in a police vehicle at the time of the accident.

The suspension began on Monday.
