Clifford Ernest ‘Cliff’ Windham

Clifford Ernest “Cliff” Windham of Lago Vista, Texas passed peacefully away at his home on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, after losing his battle with cancer.

The family will be receive friends for visitation on Friday, Sept. 15, 2017, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home in Jasper, Ala.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017, at 11 a.m. in the Kilgore-Green Chapel. Burial will be at Mackey Boshell Cemetery in Townley, Ala.

Cliff was a 35 year resident of Texas. He was born in Jasper, Ala., on Aug. 16, 1932, to the late James Carl and Della Windham. He served four years in the United States Air Force, and upon discharge entered the tire and automotive industry where he spent his career. He worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company for two years, before joining Firestone Tire and Rubber Company and the GCR Group from which he retired in January 1996, after 40 years of service. Cliff also owned two tire and automotive business in Texas after retiring from Bridgestone/Firestone. He was an active member of Travis Peak Church of Christ in Marble Falls, Texas.

Cliff was preceded in death by his sister, Willodean Burton.

He leaves behind the love of his life, his wife, Joyce Annette Williams Windham. They married January 14, 1956 and enjoyed 61 years together. In addition to Joyce, Cliff is survived by his daughters, Teri Windham Knight (Paul) of Lago Vista Texas and Vicky Jo Windham of Leander, Texas; sons, Bryan Windham (Laura) of Corpus Christi, Texas and Mark Windham of Lago Vista, Texas. Cliff was blessed with five grandchildren, Eric Knight (preceding him in death in 2011), Matthew Knight, Cameron Knight, Andrew Knight, and Kayla Park. He leaves behind three precious great-grandchildren, Isabelle Knight, Aiden Knight and Evan Knight. He is survived by two sisters, Maxine Winn and Bobbie Williams Daily; and many nieces and nephews.

Our Lord and Cliff’s family were most precious to him and treasured above all else. He enjoyed the friendship of so many and remarked often of how blessed he was.

Casual dress is appropriate. Cliff was a huge University of Alabama fan, so your Alabama attire will be welcomed.
