Coal truck overturns in south Walker

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency responded to an accident Tuesday morning that involved an overturned coal truck. The accident occurred just before 10 a.m. off Alabama Highway 269 at Segco Road, south of the town of Parrish. The driver of the coal truck reportedly lost control of the vehicle while trying to avoid hitting a dog in the middle of the roadway. There were no injuries as a result of the accident, and the dog walked away unharmed.
