Childersburg — Funeral service for Darrace Jean Fulton Kimbrell, 82, will be Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel in Sylacauga, with Pastor Walter Rezendes officiating. Burial will be Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, at 3 p.m. in Walker Memory Gardens in Jasper.
Mrs. Kimbrell, the wife of the late retired CMSGT James Doyle Kimbrell, formerly of Corona/Berry, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017, about 6:45 a.m., after a long illness.
She is survived by her loving children, Cynthia Kimbrell Dunaway (Dan) and James Gregory Kimbrell (Pam); four grandchildren, Nathan Dunaway (Ali), Rachel Dunaway, Sara Kimbrell Ward (Alex), and Jason Kimbrell; four great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Eden and Emery Dunaway, and Noah Ward; three sisters, Geneva Moore (late Jimmie Moore), Dorothy Courington (late Coleman Courington), and Shirley Hagood (Walter); and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband; and her parents, Minnie and Spencer Fulton of Corona/Berry.
She was a faithful member of Sylacauga First Church of the Nazarene and loved her church. She was a born again Christian, devoted wife and mother as they traveled the world together with the U.S. Air Force. She valued her long friendships and neighbors and loved them all. She will be missed, but is now reunited with her King, Jesus and the love of her life, Doyle.
Visitation will be Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, from 9 until 11 a.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga.
