May 30, 1928 — March 2, 2017 Levi Reed of Cordova passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017, at the age of 88.
Reed was a Korean War veteran and retired sergeant from the Army National Guard.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Roberts Reed; parents, John and Nina Reed; sisters, Jessie Jones, Alma Stillwell and Effie Craft; and brothers, I.S. Reed and Milton Reed.
He is survived by his son, Keith Reed; daughter, Tina Reed Vaughn; son-in-law, Robert Vaughn; granddaughter, Maggie Vaughn; sisters, Alice Reed and Betty Kellum.
The family will receive friends today, March 4, 2017, from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. at Walker Memory Gardens, with Rufus Reed officiating.
The family sends special thanks to the Col. Robert L. Howard State Veterans Home and Lakeside Hospice for the excellent care they provided.
