Lynn scores three TDs in second half, tops Waterloo 21-6

LYNN — Lynn shook off a slow start with a big second half en route to a 21-6 victory over Waterloo at David Posey Memorial Field on Friday night.

Waterloo struck for a touchdown run in the first quarter and took a 6-0 lead into the half.

Lynn’s offense finally started clicking in the third quarter as the Bears scored a pair of touchdowns to move into the lead. Jordan Davis carried the load for the Bears, rushing for 169 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries.

Davis’ 52-yard touchdown run in the third quarter put the Bears on top for good at 14-6. He added a 16-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter to put the game away. Micah Cagle added a two-yard touchdown run for the Bears.

Defesively, Jordan Davis had nine tackles, Ethan Delay had seven tackles, two tackles for loss, and an interception.

Lynn (2-0), which has outscored its first two opponents 88-12 hosts undefeated Meek in the Class 1A, Region 7 opener next week.
