The Corner Yellow Jackets held the Jasper Vikings to just two hits and one run in a 15-1, five-inning victory on Thursday at Corner.

Ivey Hill pitched three shutout innings in the win for Corner, giving up two hits and recording two strikeouts. Mackenzie Self pitched two innings in relief, giving up a run, three walks and striking out one batter.

Offensively, Jaden Goodwin went 3 for 4 with three runs scored, a double and an RBI, Anna Hinkle was 3 for 4 with a run scored and three RBIs, Brantly Bonds went 2 for 3 with three runs scored and two RBIs, Jiselle Woodson was 2 for 3 with three runs scored and an RBI, Lauren Dill went 2 for 3 with a run scored, two RBIs and a home run, Lauren Higginbotham was 2 for 2 with two runs scored and two RBIs, Hill had a three-run home run and Ashlynn Martin recorded a double with a run scored.

Shanna Sexton pitched two and two-thirds innings in the loss for Jasper, recording one strikeout. Ashton Prescott pitched one and one-third innings in relief.

Ansley Laye had a hit with an RBI, Prescott recorded a double and Consondria Clay scored a run.

Cordova 5, Haleyville 0

Cordova earned a 5-0 home win over Haleyville on Thursday behind pitcher Raven Clark, who tossed seven shutout innings, striking out seven and allowing three hits.

Offensively, Emma Hyche was 2 for 3 with a double, a run and an RBI, Haley Hann was 2 for 3 with a double and a run, Gracie Trotter was 1 for 3 with a double, a run and two RBIs and both Lillian Werling and Jaqulyn Braswell finished 1 for 3 with an RBI.
