Playing in his final regular-season home game, Walker’s Jarius Williams put on a show on Saturday night.

The senior scored a season high 32 points, including 14 in the fourth quarter, as Walker pulled away from Dora for a 71-57 victory at Carl Cannon Coliseum.

Walker led by as many as 12 points in the third quarter before a late spurt by Dora cut the gap to two points in the waning seconds of the period.

Williams scored on a putback at the third-quarter buzzer. That proved to be a sign of things to come as Williams put the Vikings on his back in the fourth quarter.

Walker led 51-47 going into the final quarter. The Vikings quickly put the game out of reach with a 10-0 run, with Williams doing most of the work on offense.

He opened the period with a 3-point play and followed with a pair of layups. After an Isiah Cox break-away dunk, Williams added a free throw as Walker took a 61-47 lead with 4:25 left. Dora didn’t get within single digits the rest of the way.

Walker led by as many as 18 points in the final quarter after two more baskets by Williams and an Ethan Walker basket made the score 69-51 with 2:15 remaining.

The game was close throughout the first three quarters. Walker led 15-13 after the opening period and 29-25 at the half.

For the Vikings (16-10), both Richard Griffin and Cox had 10 points, Ethan Walker and Parker Long each had six, Devin Harris added five and Eric McCullar had two.

Davien Freeman made three 3-pointers and had 19 points to lead Dora, Michael Muncher added 12 and Stone Smith put in nine.

Walker plays again at 7 p.m. Tuesday vs. Carver in the 6A, Area 11 Tournament at Minor High School.

Dora (5-19) battles Good Hope at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Class 4A, Area 10 Tournament at Cordova High School.
