WCSO honors dispatchers

Rachel Sanders and Leslie Browne are hard at work today in the Walker

County Sheriff Office's emergency dispatch department. WCSO furnished a

cake and personalized tumblers to each of its eight dispatchers in

recognition of National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week. Sponsored

by the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO)

International, the week honors the men and women who respond to

emergency calls, dispatch emergency professionals and equipment and

render life-saving assistance to the world’s citizens.
