American Legion Post 9 in Jasper has moved its monthly meeting to Thursday, June 7, due to conflict with the Department Convention scheduled on June 14-17. Will resume its regular monthly meeting schedule on Thursday, July, 12.
Walker County Education Retirees will meet Thursday, June 7, at 10 a.m. at the Jasper Civic Center. The group will recognize members who have passed away the previous year. The meeting will conclude with the group traveling to Pat Morrison's museum for the program "Memories of Walker County."

Third Annual Tallulah Half Marathon will be held Saturday, June 9, in Jasper. Combined with 5K and one-mile events, the Tallulah Half Marathon will start and finish on the square in beautiful downtown Jasper.
