Community events and class and family reunions are listed free of charge and run in chronological order by calendar date and time. Community events and class and family reunions are only accepted from local civic, government and nonprofit (501(c)(3)) organizations, and high school classes and families. The deadline to place a community event, class or family reunion is no later than noon on Tuesday or Friday of each week. Pineywoods Volunteer Fire Department is asking that all homeowners in their coverage area mail their yearly fire dues to help maintain the department’s firefighting operations in the Pineywoods’ community. The dues are $35 and can be mailed to the Pineywoods Fire Department, 105 Pineywoods-Sipsey Road, Jasper, AL 35504.

Oakman Municipal Court will be offering Amnesty for those who have fines and have not been paying on them through Friday, Sept. 30. If you had a court date and missed it, please call the Oakman Magistrate to reset your court date. Warrants will be issued starting Oct. 1. Court for the month of September will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 13, at 5 p.m. in the Oakman Community Center.
