Wilburn Lacy Robinson, 91, of Poplar Springs, passed away Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017.
Robinson served his country in World War II. He had his own roofing business and worked for Russell and Bankhead Coal Co., driving a rock truck and running the drag line, and was a proud member of UMWA.
His family will receive friends at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home on Sunday, Dec. 3, 2017, from noon until 2 p.m. Services will follow at 2 p.m., with burial at Boldo Cemetery. Mickey Millican will officiate.
Robinson was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy and Myrtle (Payne) Robinson; brother, Grady Robinson; and sisters, Almeta Roberts, Bertha Pruitt, Mabelle Humphries, Elizabeth Robinson.
He is survived by his sons, Lacy Robinson, Danny Robinson, Bobby Robinson (Kathy), Jimmy Robinson (Melissa) and Tim Robinson (Michelle); daughters, Deborah White (Billy), Betty Rogers, Teresa McGinnis (Scott) and Michell Barnett (Jake); a special friend, Gale Smith; 30 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; brothers, Larn Robinson and Frank Robinson (Marvelene); sister, Laura Bolen; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons. Jason Robinson, Bobby N. Robinson, Josh McGinnis, Trey Robinson, Luke Barnett, Will Robinson and Zachary Robinson.
