Anna Jean Brown, 72, of Jasper, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010 at Mitchell Hollingsworth Nursing Home in Florence. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010 at Jasper First Baptist Church with burial following at New Prospect Cemetery. The Rev. Charles W. Powell will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today, Dec. 3, 2010.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas Brown; and sisters, Peggy Herron and Mary Jane Herron.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Brown Joffrion of Huntsville; son, Dr. David Thomas Brown and wife Kim of Florence; brother, Jack Herron and wife Sheilah of Tuscaloosa; three wonderful grandchildren, Wesley, Andrew and Grant; niece, Amanda Johnigan and family; and nephew, Scott Herron and family.
