O’Mary-Prevost

Anna Katherine O’Mary and Mark Alan Prevost were married at 6 p.m. on Dec. 18, 2010, in a double-ring, candlelight ceremony at First Baptist Church in Jasper. Chad Hayes of Leeds officiated. A reception followed at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Mark Prevost, the groom’s parents.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Wade O’Mary of Jasper. The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Mark Prevost of Jasper.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, Dr. Wade O’Mary. Maid of Honor was Sarah Margaret O’Mary of Jasper, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Amanda Gail Williams of Jasper, aunt of the bride, Emma Elizabeth Grice of Tuscaloosa, Jillian Alexandra Sparks of Guntersville, Katie Marie Pridemore of Auburn, Susan Katherine Weatherford of Dothan, RaeAnna Elizabeth Cooner of Birmingham and Emily Nicole Herr of Jasper, all friends of the bride. Flower girls were Ivie Gibbons and Addison Gibbons, friends of the bride. Program attendents were Molly Kate Atkins, Caroline Bishop Stephens and Frances Pollard Stephens.

The bride wore a fitted gown of French taffeta. The empire bodice featured a sweetheart neckline and was embellished with Swaroski crystals in a diamond pattern. The back featured covered buttons and tiny pleats which opened to a semi-cathedral train. She wore a shoulder length veil accented with swaroski crystals. Her boutique was made of red roses, red hypericum berries with accents of ruscus wrapped with ivory satin ribbon and lace from her great-grandmother. It was secured with an antique broach.

Best man was Matthew Aaron Prevost of Jasper, brother of groom. Groomsmen were Michael Alan Miller of Jasper, cousin of groom, Samuel Wayne Bush of Tuscaloosa, Judson Morgan Gardner III of Lynchburg, Va., Jared Blake Morrow of Auburn, Daniel O. Osula of Birmingham, Nicholas Steven Pilling of Auburn and Joshua Charles Randolph of Tuscaloosa. Ushers were Max Darrell Bagwell Jr. of Jasper, Thomas Mills Eischeid of Tuscaloosa, Christopher Phillip Ingle of Jasper, James Thornhill Johnston Jr. of Tuscaloosa and Ryan Julian Prestridge of Jasper.

Wedding music was provided by the band Trotline, pianist Carol Patilla, organist Jeanette Sherer, guitarist Michael Patilla, soloist Jim Trotter and soloist Christian Gann.

After a wedding trip to the Bahamas, the couple will reside in Tuscaloosa.

Linam-Barnett

Cecily Linam and Chad Anthony Barnett were united in marriage on Saturday, July 17, 2010, at the historic Rucker Place, in Birmingham, at 6:30 p.m. Bro. Mel Futrell of Shades Mountain Church of Christ officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Randall Linam Sr. of Haleyville. Her grandparents are the late Emory and Vaudine Tidwell and Paul and Olene Linam, all of Haleyville.

The groom is the son of Beverly Barnett and the late Steve Barnett of Arley. His grandparents are Eva Phelps and the late Willie E. Phelps of Parrish and the late Aubrey and Lora Barnett of Jasper.

The bride chose a vintage theme for the wedding, wearing a 1940s birdcage veil, complete with sequins, feathers and jewels. Her dress was designed by Allure Bridals. A formal gown of diamond white taffeta featured a v-neckline with a ruched bodice, decorated with a beaded applique at the hip line and a-line skirt. The back of the gown had thin straps and a pleated semi-cathedral train with beaded appliques. Floral designer Laurie Friedman specially designed the bride’s fresh peonies bouquet adorned with rhinestone jewels.

The groom and groomsmen chose Ralph Lauren as their After Six attire. The groom’s brother, Doug of Arley, served as best man. Groomsmen were Jake Barnett of Jasper, Zack Yates of Jasper, Ray Mauldin of Tuscaloosa, Will Tucker of Jasper and Mike Cantrell of Birmingham. Junior groomsman was Cade Tidwell of Haleyville. Ring bearer was Owen Barnett.

The reception followed the ceremony as Rucker’s Place’s own chef Richard Bishop and staff treated guests to an array of southern cuisine, customized for the bride.

After an Alaskan cruise for their honeymoon, the couple now resides in Hoover.
