The family will receive friends on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. Funeral services will be graveside on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Bro. Paul Busby will officiate. Collins-Burke Funeral Home will direct.
Mitchell was preceded in death by his father, James Martin Mitchell; mother, Eula Francis Mitchell; sisters, Valera Nelson and Valdale Cook and brother, Lloyd Mitchell.
He is survived by his wife, Dean Mitchell; daughters, Hilda Carroll and Lisa Mitchell; sons, Gary Mitchell and Donnie Carroll; sister, Lucille Hill; and six grandchilden and eight great-grandchildren.
