A 55-year-old Parrish man was hurt Thursday morning when a vehicle he was driving on Alabama Highway 269 left the road and struck a tree.

An Alabama Department of Public Safety spokesperson said Alford Key was transported by ambulance to UAB Hospital in Birmingham.

The extent of Key’s injuries was not known at press time.

Key was driving a 1991 Nissan Stanza XE when the wreck occurred about two miles north of Parrish at approximately 9:50 a.m. Thursday.

No one else was injured in the accident, officials said.
