He was preceded in death by his father, Dorathan Sanders; mother, Hazel R. Sanders; son, Donald A. Sanders Jr.; sister, Dorothy Sanders Coleman; and sister, Marjorie Sanders King.
He is survived by his wife, Cora E. “Todie” Sanders of New Hope; grandson, Daniel Sanders of New Hope; granddaughter, Lora Waldrip of New Hope; brothers-in-law, Kerry (Jan) Handley of Jasper, Marvin King of Jasper and Mitchell Handley of Jasper; nieces, Sandra LaCoste, Karen King and Amy Anderson.
