She was preceded in death by her father, Samuel D. Smith; mother, Lucy Smith; cousins, Donny Hulsey and Betty Hulsey; and grandparents, Austin and Lizzie Thomas.
She is survived by her daughters, Paula DeLong of Townley and Carolyn DeLong of Townley; sister, Shirley Smith of Townley; and husband, Jimmy DeLong of Bedford, Va.
