Bryant Jackson VanHorn, 21, of Cordova, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2011, due to last week’s tornadoes. Funeral services will be at noon on Saturday, May 7, 2011, at Kilgore-Green Chapel. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Mark Lockhart will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until noon on Saturday prior to services.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Toni VanHorn; and grandparents, Edith “Ole Momma” Dawkins, Ella Dean VanHorn and Jack VanHorn.

He is survived by his father, Mike VanHorn of Cordova; stepmother, Beverly Moseley of Cordova; brother, Anthony VanHorn of Cordova; sister, Taylor VanHorn and her husband, Justin Cates, of Cordova; grandmother, Judy Carter of Oakman; and special friends Jacob Kostick, David Watson and Lee Hightower.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Kostick, Lee Hightower, David Watson, David Brown, Marcus Trammell and Matthew McFerson.
