The Samuel Lee Smith Advised Fund and Walker County Arts Alliance will present a free art and reading program this summer for children age 5-8.

Jeanette Smith said the program is in its fifth year and still successful.

“We have been growing every year,” Smith said.

The program will be held at the Jasper Area Family Service Center on Delaware Avenue from 10 a.m. to 11. a.m. each Tuesday.

There will be reading activities led by Smith and other volunteers June 7 through 21.

Art activities begin June 28 and run through July 12. Sessions will be led by Angie Lewis, as well as Joe and Kris Holley.

An art exhibit, which is open to members of the community, will be held July 12 from 11 a.m. to noon.
