Wallace holds one-stroke lead at Musgrove

Marc Wallace holds a slim one-stroke advantage going into today’s final round of the 2011 Bob Carr Club Championship.

Wallace fired a four-under par 67 on Saturday and leads Bob Cox and Bob Maddox by one stroke in the two-day tournament. Micah Jett is two strokes back at 69 and another nine golfers are within five strokes of Wallace.

Wallace leads the tournament’s first flight by three strokes over Vess Hollingsworth, who shot a one-under par 70 on Saturday.

Cox leads the Championship A flight with Jett one stroke back. Al McAdams is two behind Cox at 70 while both Rick Stukes and Rodney Kimbrell each shot opening round 71s.

Sonny Peak, Rene Williams, Justin Green and Scotty Webb each shot 72s to close out the flight.

Jody Quick, Weston Griffith and Lonnie O’Rear are tied atop the Championship B Flight after shooting three-over par 74s on Saturday.

Maddox holds a five-stroke lead over Greg Benefield (73) in the Second Flight, Goober Williams leads the Third Flight after an opening-round 76 and Patrick Suchey holds a two-stroke lead in the Fourth Flight after shooting an 80 on Saturday.

Today’s final round will open with golfers teeing off at 9:50 a.m.

The leaders will tee off last at 12:50 p.m.
