Jerusha Jane “Rusha” Jones Key, 28, of Jasper, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at her residence following a 3 1/2 year, courageously fought, battle against breast cancer.

A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held Sunday, July 10, 2011, at 4 p.m. in the Kilgore-Green Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper. Brian Richardson will officiate. Kilgore-Green Funeral Home in Jasper will direct. Visitation will be from 3 until 4 p.m. in the chapel at the funeral home

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Theron R. Watson Sr. and Paul Jones; uncle, Theron R. “Bubby” Watson Jr.; aunt, Judy Watson; great-grandparents, Louie and Rushie Geeslin, and Wallace and Icie Watson; and numerous other relatives.

She is survived by her husband of 10 years, Justin Key of Jasper; one son, Caden Key of Jasper; parents, Ricky and Elane Jones of Jasper; two brothers, Jason Jones and his wife Jenna, and Cory Jones, all of Curry; grandmothers, Ala Faye Watson of Curry and Maudie Jones of Jasper; seven uncles, Solon Jones and his wife Margaret of Jasper, John D. “Danny” Jones and his wife Pearl of Jasper, Jimmy Jones and his wife Shelby of Vance, James Carroll Jones and his wife Janet of Northport, Donald Jones and his wife Cheryl of Parrish, William “Sonny” Watson of Curry, and Stephen Watson and his wife Deanna of Wetumpka; three aunts, Linda Jones Walters and her friend James Potter of Salem, Vicki Watson Gilbert and her husband Ken of Jasper, and Diane Bradford of Nauvoo; father- and mother-in-law, David and Jewel Key of Boldo; three sisters-in-law, Holly Randolph and her husband Gerald of Oakman, Mary Wehunt and her husband Jay of Phil Campbell, and Krystal Jenkins of Carbon Hill; four nieces, Alexis, Isabell and Olivia Jenkins, all of Carbon Hill and Talullah Jane Randolph of Oakman; three nephews, Tyler Nelson of Oakman and Brandon and Adam Swindle of Phil Campbell; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
