He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Woods Kay; mother Floy Boshell Kay; grandmother Eugenia “Maw” Boshell of Jasper and grandchild, Tonia M. Townsend.
He is survived by his daughters, Becky (Bill) Champion of Bartlett, Tenn., Sara Kay and Tammie (Mike) Asmus; son, Raymond Kay; beloved sister, Mildred Hooper, all of Birmingham; and seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today, July 9, 2011, from noon until service time at 1 p.m. at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. Interment with military honors will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Jasper.
